After travelling the world a few times with the Navy, I settled in Suffolk, England where i became interested in pyrography, doing many items in my spare time, mainly houses, churches and green men. Following a serious motorcycle accident, my wife Joy and I were drawn back to my roots in Bangor, Co., Down.(The Kingdom of Down). In 2004,after much deliberation and soul searching, we sold the house and prepared to move, only to be told our first Grandchild, the beautiful Eva-Louise was on the way in Suffolk.(life`s like that). This whole area is steeped in mystery and legend. Fairy trees, fairy rings, forests, dark woods, the wee folk and wood spirits etc., abound. We`re also fortunate enough to live an hour or twos drive away from the legendary `Giants Causeway`and the`Mountains Of Mourne`. It would be difficult not to believe some of the legends, living in a beautiful place like this (although the odd `Bushmills Whiskey` and the moonbeams hitting my baldy patch may have something to do with that). The whole place and atmosphere gives me the inspiration for my work.
